74:48So there will not benefit them the intercession of [any] intercessors.
74:49Then what is [the matter] with them that they are, from the reminder, turning away.
74:50As if they were alarmed donkeys.
74:51Fleeing from a lion?
74:52Rather, every person among them desires that he1 would be given scriptures spread about.2
74:53No! But they do not fear the Hereafter.
74:54No! Indeed, it [i.e., the Qur’ān] is a reminder.
74:55Then whoever wills will remember it.
74:56And they will not remember except that Allāh wills. He is worthy of fear and adequate for [granting] forgiveness.
75:1I swear by the Day of Resurrection
75:2And I swear by the reproaching soul1 [to the certainty of resurrection].
75:3Does man think that We will not assemble his bones?
75:4Yes. [We are] Able [even] to proportion his fingertips.
75:5But man desires to continue in sin.1
75:6He asks, "When is the Day of Resurrection?"
75:7So when vision is dazzled.
75:8And the moon darkens.
75:9And the sun and the moon are joined,
75:10Man will say on that Day, "Where is the [place of] escape?"
75:11No! There is no refuge.
75:12To your Lord, that Day, is the [place of] permanence.
75:13Man will be informed that Day of what he sent ahead1 and kept back.2
75:14Rather, man, against himself, will be a witness,1
75:15Even if he presents his excuses.
75:16Move not your tongue with it, [O Muḥammad], to hasten with it [i.e., recitation of the Qur’ān].
75:17Indeed, upon Us is its collection [in your heart] and [to make possible] its recitation.
75:18So when We have recited it [through Gabriel], then follow its recitation.
75:19Then upon Us is its clarification [to you].
