What is the Qibla?
The Qibla is the direction Muslims face during prayer — toward the Kaaba in Masjid al-Haram, Mecca, Saudi Arabia. All five daily prayers must be offered while facing the Qibla, making it one of the most fundamental aspects of Islamic worship.
"So turn your face toward al-Masjid al-Haram. And wherever you [believers] are, turn your faces toward it."Quran 2:144
How the Compass Works
This Qibla finder uses your device's magnetometer to determine magnetic north, then calculates the great-circle bearing from your location to Mecca — the most accurate method for determining the Qibla direction globally.
