88:23However, he who turns away and disbelieves
88:24Then Allāh will punish him with the greatest punishment.
88:25Indeed, to Us is their return.
88:26Then indeed, upon Us is their account.
89:1By the dawn
89:2And [by] ten nights1
89:3And [by] the even [number] and the odd
89:4And [by] the night when it passes,
89:5Is there [not] in [all] that an oath [sufficient] for one of perception?1
89:6Have you not considered how your Lord dealt with ʿAad -
89:7[With] Iram1 - who had lofty pillars,2
89:8The likes of whom had never been created in the land?
89:9And [with] Thamūd, who carved out the rocks in the valley?
89:10And [with] Pharaoh, owner of the stakes?1
89:11[All of] whom oppressed within the lands
89:12And increased therein the corruption.
89:13So your Lord poured upon them a scourge of punishment.
89:14Indeed, your Lord is in observation.
89:15And as for man, when his Lord tries him and [thus] is generous to him and favors him, he says, "My Lord has honored me."1
89:16But when He tries him and restricts his provision, he says, "My Lord has humiliated me."
89:17No!1 But you do not honor the orphan
89:18And you do not encourage one another to feed the poor.
89:19And you consume inheritance, devouring [it] altogether,1
89:20And you love wealth with immense love.
89:21No! When the earth has been leveled - pounded and crushed
89:22And your Lord has come1 and the angels, rank upon rank,
