وَأَنَّهُۥ خَلَقَ ٱلزَّوْجَيْنِ ٱلذَّكَرَ وَٱلْأُنثَىٰ﴿٤٥﴾مِن نُّطْفَةٍ إِذَا تُمْنَىٰ﴿٤٦﴾وَأَنَّ عَلَيْهِ ٱلنَّشْأَةَ ٱلْأُخْرَىٰ﴿٤٧﴾وَأَنَّهُۥ هُوَ أَغْنَىٰ وَأَقْنَىٰ﴿٤٨﴾وَأَنَّهُۥ هُوَ رَبُّ ٱلشِّعْرَىٰ﴿٤٩﴾وَأَنَّهُۥٓ أَهْلَكَ عَادًا ٱلْأُولَىٰ﴿٥٠﴾وَثَمُودَا۟ فَمَآ أَبْقَىٰ﴿٥١﴾وَقَوْمَ نُوحٍ مِّن قَبْلُ ۖ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا۟ هُمْ أَظْلَمَ وَأَطْغَىٰ﴿٥٢﴾وَٱلْمُؤْتَفِكَةَ أَهْوَىٰ﴿٥٣﴾فَغَشَّىٰهَا مَا غَشَّىٰ﴿٥٤﴾فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكَ تَتَمَارَىٰ﴿٥٥﴾هَـٰذَا نَذِيرٌ مِّنَ ٱلنُّذُرِ ٱلْأُولَىٰٓ﴿٥٦﴾أَزِفَتِ ٱلْـَٔازِفَةُ﴿٥٧﴾لَيْسَ لَهَا مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ كَاشِفَةٌ﴿٥٨﴾أَفَمِنْ هَـٰذَا ٱلْحَدِيثِ تَعْجَبُونَ﴿٥٩﴾وَتَضْحَكُونَ وَلَا تَبْكُونَ﴿٦٠﴾وَأَنتُمْ سَـٰمِدُونَ﴿٦١﴾فَٱسْجُدُوا۟ لِلَّهِ وَٱعْبُدُوا۟ ۩﴿٦٢﴾۩

53:45And that He creates the two mates - the male and female -

53:46From a sperm-drop when it is emitted

53:47And that [incumbent] upon Him is the other [i.e., next] creation.

53:48And that it is He who enriches and suffices

53:49And that it is He who is the Lord of Sirius1.

53:50And that He destroyed the first [people of] ʿAad.

53:51And Thamūd - and He did not spare [them] -

53:52And the people of Noah before. Indeed, it was they who were [even] more unjust and oppressing.

53:53And the overturned towns1 He hurled down.

53:54And covered them by that which He covered.1

53:55Then which of the favors of your Lord do you doubt?

53:56This [Prophet (ﷺ)] is a warner from [i.e., like] the former warners.

53:57The Approaching Day has approached.

53:58Of it, [from those] besides Allāh, there is no remover.

53:59Then at this statement do you wonder?

53:60And you laugh and do not weep

53:61While you are proudly sporting?1

53:62So prostrate to Allāh and worship [Him].

القمرAl-Qamar

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

ٱقْتَرَبَتِ ٱلسَّاعَةُ وَٱنشَقَّ ٱلْقَمَرُ﴿١﴾وَإِن يَرَوْا۟ ءَايَةً يُعْرِضُوا۟ وَيَقُولُوا۟ سِحْرٌ مُّسْتَمِرٌّ﴿٢﴾وَكَذَّبُوا۟ وَٱتَّبَعُوٓا۟ أَهْوَآءَهُمْ ۚ وَكُلُّ أَمْرٍ مُّسْتَقِرٌّ﴿٣﴾وَلَقَدْ جَآءَهُم مِّنَ ٱلْأَنۢبَآءِ مَا فِيهِ مُزْدَجَرٌ﴿٤﴾حِكْمَةٌۢ بَـٰلِغَةٌ ۖ فَمَا تُغْنِ ٱلنُّذُرُ﴿٥﴾فَتَوَلَّ عَنْهُمْ ۘ يَوْمَ يَدْعُ ٱلدَّاعِ إِلَىٰ شَىْءٍ نُّكُرٍ﴿٦﴾

54:1The Hour has come near, and the moon has split [in two].1

54:2And if they see a sign [i.e., miracle], they turn away and say, "Passing magic."1

54:3And they denied and followed their inclinations. But for every matter is a [time of] settlement.

54:4And there has already come to them of information that in which there is deterrence.

54:5Extensive wisdom - but warning does not avail [them].

54:6So leave them, [O Muḥammad]. The Day the Caller1 calls to something forbidding,
